There is more drama with Immortal than the latest Housewives show.

Abbath wrote material intended for Immortal in 2014 but decided to launch his own band in 2015 as he and the other members of Immortal were fighting over the rights and trademark of the band.

He took his work with him and released “Abbath” in 2016 which sparked another legal battle of “He said vs He said” regarding who owns the material.

With Abbath gone, Demonaz and Horgh started over. Demonaz stopped playing guitar many years earlier due to an injury but had surgery to repair the issue and retook the lead guitars and vocals.

Immortal released Northern Chaos Gods in 2018 and did very well with sales and charts in Europe.

Immortal is back but this might be their swan song as Demonaz filed in court for the rights of Immortal in 2019 but Horgh found out and stopped the process in 2020.
