If a folder is in use, check Do this for all current items and click on the skip button.
Go back to the control panel, select Appearance and Personalization and select Show hidden files and folders. (Restoring the initial steps above) Under the view tab, select Dont show hidden files, folders or drives. Check Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).

Click Apply. Close out the control panel. Right click on the start menu and select Disk Management.

Right click on OS hard drive and select properties.

Select Disk Cleanup on the general tab.

A disk clean up calculation window will appear.

When the calculation is complete a new window will open.

Select Clean up System Files button. A new disk clean up calculation window will appear.

Check all of the files to delete and select ok. Select Delete files when the alert prompt appears.
I don't recommend selecting Compress your OS Drive unless you are low on space.
A new clean up window will appear and the files will be removed. The window will close automattically when completed.

You're ready for the next step!
