Folk, metal, and kilts!

Iron is Ensiferum’s second release and dropped in 2004. It was also the last release with Jari Mäenpää before he left to form Wintersun.

This is my favorite Ensiferum’s album, line up and is a solid release.

Their following releases with their newer line-up just don’t do it for me as this one is a tough album to top.

“Iron”, “Into Battle” and “LAI LAI HEI” are top notch songs.

Enjoy this while you can as they aren’t able to reach this level again.
