It was 10 years since Arcturus had released Sideshow Symphonies. After a long hiatus the avant-garde space travelers are back with The Arcturian.

“Crashland”, “Game Over” and “The Arcturian Sign” are fine vessels that explode into oblivion.

While this album is not on the same level as La Masquerade Infernal or The Sham Mirrors, fans will appreciate that their weirdness is still intact.

The mind warping has leveled out and the music is more mainstream acceptable than the previous releases, but they still brought over that spaceman spark from those albums.

Overall, this is an album that old school and new school fans can both enjoy.
