“5 fingers has a hand! With these 5 grab the enemy!”

John Heartfield’s poster about the enemy being the Nazi party in the 1920’s is the cover art for the self-titled album System of a Down.

Fast forward to 1998 when this album was released and these Armenians released the song “P.L.U.C.K. (Politically Lying, Unholy, Cowardly Killers.)” regarding the Armenian genocide that is still politically not recognized by many governments today.

Politics aside, this is an excellent first album. I would classify this close to Thrash and Alternative. I don’t believe this album fits in the Nu Metal genre.

I used Ddevil as a song in a work presentation and when the “The devil is so lovely” had an image of my boss flash across the screen.

It was a good presentation.
